Oshi no Ko Season 4 (the concluding season) was confirmed and announced on March 25th, 2026, immediately following the one-hour-long Season 3 finale. For this season, Studio Doga Kobo (who animated the three preceding seasons) has once again been chosen as the animation studio, and Daisuke Hiramaki will direct.
In conjunction with this announcement, both a teaser trailer and an announcement visual were released. Crunchyroll will simulcast this new season, which is expected to be streamed worldwide.
Oshi no Ko Season 4: Release date speculation
Currently, there is no official release date or window for Season 4 of the anime, but we do have past seasons follow a similar release pattern:
- Season 1: April to June 2023
- Season 2: July to October 2024
- Season 3: January to March 2026 (11 episodes ending March 25, 2026)
The gaps in time between each season usually range from 1 year to 1 ½ years, so it seems probable, if not likely, that we can expect Season 4 in the year 2027 or maybe between mid to late 2027, but also possibly even early 2028 (depending on how fast the team can produce content). Since the manga has been completed in its entirety, the production team should have access to all material and can therefore plan around that. However, there has been no concrete information released about either episode count(as of this time) or exact release date.
Oshi no Ko Season 4: Cast
Most of the voice actors from previous seasons of the anime are also expected to come back for the new season, including:
- Aqua Hoshino (Voiced in Japanese by Takeo Otsuka)
- Ruby Hoshino
- Kana Arima
- Akane Kurokawa
- And some of the other main characters
As of right now, there are some new or additional names mentioned as being potentially involved in Season 3 or the ongoing series. Some of those players include: Mamoru Miyano (Hikaru Kamiki in some instances), Yuto Takenaka (Shun Yoshizumi), and Yoji Ueda (Tetsu Urushibara). The full cast listing for Season 4 has not yet been released, but it will continue where Season 3 left off.
The season 3 ending themes were CHANMINA’s (OP: “Test Me”) and natori’s (ED: “Serenade”). We do not have a listing of who is providing music for the fourth season.
Oshi no Ko Season 4: Plot details
Oshi no Ko focuses on the experiences of reincarnated doctor Gorou, who has become Aqua Hoshino, and his sister Ruby as they explore the dark side of Japan’s idol and entertainment industry following their mother’s, Ai Hoshino’s, untimely death. The story blends elements of mystery, drama, revenge, and satire of the entertainment industry as Aqua works to solve the mystery of his mother’s death while Ruby strives to become an idol star.
Season 4 of Oshi no Ko will definitely be the final season, adapting all of the remaining story arcs to conclude the series. The manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari finished with Chapter 166 in November 2024 and resolved all ongoing character arcs (including Aqua’s revenge and family secrets) as well as the mystery behind the entertainment industry’s dark side. Although the anime is expected to remain faithful to the manga’s conclusion, there may be some deviations (as seen in other adaptations) in terms of pacing or inclusion of anime-original content.
Since Season 3 has only just ended, Season 4 will likely begin with major unresolved plot threads involving major antagonists and key relationships, as well as the “truth” behind major plot points throughout the series. Expect to see high-stakes performances, powerful emotional confrontations, and closure to the Hoshino siblings’ character arcs.
As part of the announcement, there has been a launch of an official global TikTok account for the series was launched to promote additional content related to the announcement.
