Only Murders in the Building is back with its fifth season, and fans don’t have to wait any longer. The new season premieres on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, only on Hulu. The first three episodes drop together on launch day, with new episodes arriving every week after that.
This time, the mystery is centered around the shocking death of Lester, the Arconia’s longtime doorman. His death was revealed in the Season 4 finale, and now Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) are back to solve the case. According to Hulu, their investigation takes them into the darker corners of New York and beyond, uncovering a web of secrets involving billionaires, mobsters, and, of course, the residents of the Arconia.
The main trio is back in full force, along with returning cast members Michael Cyril Creighton as Howard, Da’Vine Joy Randolph as Detective Donna Williams, and Meryl Streep as Loretta Durkin. Season 5 also introduces big new names to the series, including Christoph Waltz, Téa Leoni, Renée Zellweger, Richard Kind, and Keegan-Michael Key.
As always, the season will stream only on Hulu. New viewers can also catch up on all four previous seasons there. Since its debut in 2021, the show has become one of Hulu’s biggest hits, loved for its balance of humor, mystery, and the chemistry of its leading stars.
