Just like Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can be challenging to solve some days. If you’re stuck and need help with today’s Strands puzzle, we’ve got the answers for you below.

How to Play NYT Strands

In Strands, your goal is to find “theme words” hidden in a grid of letters. You can manipulate letters by dragging or tapping to form words. Double-tap the final letter to confirm a word. If the word is correct, the letters will be highlighted in blue and will no longer be selectable.

Gameplay Tips:

  • Finding non-theme words still helps! For every three non-theme words of at least four letters, you get a hint revealing letters of one theme word.
  • Every letter in the grid is used exactly once to spell out the theme words.
  • There’s a “spangram,” a special theme word that touches two opposite sides of the board. When you find it, it will be highlighted in yellow.
  • Aim to complete the puzzle quickly with minimal hints.
