Northrop Grumman has been awarded several defense contracts totaling about $84.2 million. These deals cover guns, submarine equipment, missile software, and ammunition.
The largest award is $32.6 million for 30MM chain-driven MK44 MOD4 guns. This includes supporting hardware, special tools, and spare parts. The work will take place in Mesa, Arizona, and is expected to finish by August 2027. The contract was awarded without competition because only one source could provide the equipment. Funding comes from the 2025 Marine Corps procurement budget.
In another contract, Northrop Grumman Marine Systems in Sunnyvale, California, received $8.6 million to supply materials for Ship’s Service Turbine Generators for two Virginia-class submarines. This work is expected to be completed by December 2027 at the Sunnyvale facility.
Northrop Grumman’s Missile Way division in Roy, Utah, got a $24.1 million modification for Minuteman III ICBM software upgrades and logistics support. This raises the total contract value to $507.8 million. Work will take place in multiple locations, including Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, and California, and is scheduled to finish by August 31, 2028.
Finally, Northrop Grumman in Minneapolis was awarded $18.9 million to produce M136 Vehicle Launched Anti-Tank Scatterable ammunition canisters. Work will occur in more than a dozen states, including Minnesota, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Florida, and will be completed by September 26, 2027.
