North West continues to expand her multifaceted repertoire, adding yet another feather to her cap. Over the past few years, the 10-year-old has garnered various titles—unofficial Gen Alpha fashion arbiter, Calabasas lemonade entrepreneur, adept in special FX makeup artistry, primary critic of Kim K’s style, and an emerging voice actor. Now, she is embarking on a musical journey, joining the ranks of “musician” with guidance from her father, Ye.
The musician formerly known as Kanye West, now Ye, is preparing for the release of his upcoming album, ‘Vultures,’ a collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign. To infuse a Gen Alpha essence into one of the tracks, they’ve enlisted the prodigious talents of North West.
During the Vultures’ listening party in Miami, North, along with her siblings, made a striking appearance. It was here that North took center stage, unveiling her own verse. Adorned in an all-black ensemble, comprising an oversized leather jacket, a glistening chain, and the signature Yeezy slides, North graced the platform alongside her father, showcasing her lip-sync prowess.
Her verse, a catchy rendition, proclaimed, “It’s your bestie. Miss, Miss Westie. Don’t try to test me, it’s gonna get messy. It’s gonna get messy. Just, just bless me,” accompanied by a subtly auto-tuned rendition.
In an earlier interview with i-D, North had expressed aspirations of becoming a rapper, diverting from her childhood interest in boxing. She revealed her multifaceted career plans, including rapping, playing basketball, creating art, and even venturing into the realm of entrepreneurship by selling her artwork.
Beyond her musical inclinations, North also disclosed her desire to take over her parents’ brands, Yeezy and SKIMS, while also envisioning the launch of her personal brands. Reports suggest she’s already working on trademarks, showcasing a proactive approach to her future endeavors.
Despite fluctuating details surrounding Vultures’ release, the album is slated for a December 15 drop. Ty Dolla $ign recently unveiled the comprehensive tracklist, housing 18 songs. Alongside North West, collaborators like Nicki Minaj, Bump J, Lil Durk, Chris Brown, and others are anticipated to feature on the album, promising an exciting musical tapestry.
