On May 13, 2025, Jackie Tohn, who plays Esther on Nobody Wants This, confirmed that filming for Season 2 has officially wrapped up. She shared her excitement on Instagram, writing, “That’s a wrap on Nobody Wants This Season 2! So excited for everyone to see!!! I love these people so much and can’t believe we get to work (play) together. Here we goooo!” Her post included fun photos with fellow main cast members like Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, and more.

Filming for the second season started on March 3, 2025, and wrapped up just over two months later on May 12. This schedule mirrors how Season 1 was filmed last year — they wrapped up filming in May 2024 and released the show in late September. So, following the same pattern, fans can probably expect Season 2 to drop around October 23, 2025, although Netflix hasn’t officially announced the premiere date yet.

The series was created by Erin Foster, who also works as a co-showrunner and executive producer. Foster has called Nobody Wants This a major highlight of her career and expressed how lucky she feels to continue telling the story alongside fellow producers Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan.

Right after filming ended, Netflix shared eight episode titles for Season 2, although the exact order isn’t confirmed yet. The titles are:

  • A Better Rabbi

  • Anything Can Happen

  • Dinner Party

  • Leave It At The Tree

  • The Taker

  • The Unethical Therapist

  • Valentine’s Day

  • When You Know, You Know

Kristen Bell gave fans a sneak peek in a behind-the-scenes video, revealing that Dinner Party is the first episode of the season. Erin Foster wrote that episode, while other episodes were written by writers including Sarah Heyward, Bruce Eric Kaplan, Lindsay Golder, Lawrence Dai, and Mahtub Zare Mochanloo. Since Season 1 had 10 episodes and only 8 titles are out, it seems two episodes are still under wraps.

Behind-the-scenes photos also gave fans a glimpse of returning characters, including Sherry Cola and D’Arcy Carden, plus a new cast member, Miles Fowler, joining in a fresh role. This season promises to bring back fan favorites and introduce exciting new storylines.
