No Man’s Sky has rolled out Update 6.22. The new patch focuses on bug fixes. It does not add new content. Instead, it improves features introduced in the recent Remnant update.
No Man’s Sky continues to receive steady support in 2026. Earlier this month, Hello Games launched the free Remnant update. That expansion added new activities. Players can now clean up planets covered in industrial waste. A fresh expedition also went live with new rewards, including a full exosuit armor set.
Remnant also introduced the Gravitino Coil. This is a gravity gun attachment for the multitool. The Colossus Exocraft received upgrades as well. While fans welcomed the additions, several bugs quickly surfaced.
No Man’s Sky Update 6.22 Patch Notes
Update 6.22 fixes many of the issues tied to Remnant. The Gravitino Coil has been improved. Objects launched from it now deal more damage. They also have better stun effects. Its ability to magnetize armored Sentinel drones has been enhanced.
The patch also corrects a problem where the Exocraft Mining Laser failed to consume fuel. It now uses fuel as originally intended. Some players had grown used to the bug. Not everyone is happy about this fix.
The Colossus Exocraft received multiple improvements. Its mechanical legs no longer get stuck as easily on terrain. Collision issues at waste sites and processing plants have been fixed. Driving cameras were adjusted, especially on slopes. Visual effects for the vehicle were polished as well.
Other fixes address mission problems in the Remnant expedition. Waypoints now count correctly toward milestones. A rare issue that could leave players spawning in space after reloading has been resolved. The update also fixes a bug that could cause a starship to permanently run out of fuel at the end of the expedition.
No Man’s Sky Platform Fixes and Xbox Crashes
Beyond gameplay tweaks, Update 6.22 improves performance across platforms. PC users get better UI textures at lower resolutions. PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions received rendering fixes. The Field of View slider now works properly on Nintendo Switch 2. Mac users also saw a fix for flickering planetary objects.
The patch is already live on Steam. Other platforms are receiving it in waves. Hello Games says it will arrive everywhere as soon as possible.
One concern remains. The patch notes do not mention the recent crash reports from Xbox Series X and S players. Some users have reported frequent crashes since Remnant launched. For now, those players are waiting to see if another update will address the issue.
Hello Games has encouraged players to continue sending bug reports. This is the third patch since Remnant released. It is also the largest so far in terms of fixes.
Even as the studio works on its next project, Light No Fire, support for No Man’s Sky is not slowing down. In fact, Hello Games has said that features built for the upcoming title have already made their way into the space exploration game. More updates are expected as 2026 continues.
