Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are clearly proud of their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, and have shared their mixed feelings about her potential future in the entertainment industry. During a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Nick opened up about his thoughts on whether Malti might follow in their footsteps, revealing that although she is already showing an interest in singing, he and Priyanka are leaving the decision to her when she’s older.
Nick mentioned that their three-year-old daughter already loves to sing, which has sparked many conversations between him and Priyanka. However, he emphasized that the choice will ultimately be Malti’s. “It’s going to be her choice,” Nick said. “We have a three-year-old, and she loves to sing,” he added, pointing out that it’s a conversation they continue to have as she grows.
As a parent, Nick reflected on the challenges and responsibilities of raising a child in the public eye, mentioning that it can sometimes feel scary. He discussed how he and Priyanka both have unique career experiences, which can influence their approach to parenting. Nick also noted that, as parents, their primary job is to protect their children while also giving them the freedom to explore their own paths and live their lives.
Priyanka has often shared sweet moments with Malti on her social media, including videos of her daughter singing. Fans have enjoyed seeing the little one express herself musically, whether it’s at home or during trips, like their recent vacation to Cabo San Lucas. Priyanka even posted a video earlier this year from their trip to London, where Malti delighted followers with another adorable singing clip.
While Nick and Priyanka are clearly supportive of Malti’s talents, they remain mindful of giving her the space to make her own choices about her future. It’s clear that their parenting approach is centered on love, protection, and encouraging Malti’s individuality as she grows.
