It has been a long time since we got any new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles content. Fans have been pretty disappointed with Paramount for not giving the franchise much attention. But now it looks like things might change. Recent updates say that Paramount is planning a new live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
Neal H. Moritz, the producer behind the Fast and the Furious movies, is reportedly in talks to bring the turtles back to life in live action. Toby Ascher is also set to produce. TMNT is one of the few franchises fully owned by Paramount. It seems like they want to make the most of it with experienced producers leading the project.
It has been a while since a live-action TMNT movie came out. The last one was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of The Shadows in 2016. Unfortunately, it did not do well at the box office, which made Paramount stop making live-action movies for the franchise. Later, they focused on animation. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Monster Mayhem came out in 2023 and was a big hit.
Now Paramount knows what works and what doesn’t. This gives fans hope that the next live-action movie might actually be something they enjoy. We just have to wait and see what happens next.
