Netflix just dropped a fresh batch of behind-the-scenes photos from Bridgerton Season 3 on Instagram, giving fans a peek into the cast’s off-camera moments during filming. Alongside these exclusive snapshots, they announced some big news: Bridgerton has officially been renewed for Seasons 5 and 6.
The Instagram post, shared on Netflix’s official account, marked the one-year anniversary of Season 3’s release—also known by fans as the “Polin season” because it focused on the slow-burn romance between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). The photos featured many familiar faces, including Jonathan Bailey (Anthony), Simone Ashley (Kate Sharma), Ruth Gemmell (Violet), Claudia Jessie (Eloise), Luke Thompson (Benedict), and Queen Charlotte herself, Golda Rosheuvel.
Season 3 was released in two parts between May and June 2024, and now Netflix has confirmed the series will continue with at least two more seasons, pushing the total confirmed seasons to six. They shared this exciting update during their annual upfront presentation to advertisers.
Also revealed: Bridgerton Season 4 is set to premiere in 2026. This new season will focus on Benedict Bridgerton’s love story with a new character, Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha. A short teaser clip showed Benedict meeting Sophie at a mysterious masquerade ball, teasing what looks to be another steamy romance.
Bridgerton is based on Julia Quinn’s bestselling novels, which follow the romantic adventures of the eight Bridgerton siblings. So far, Netflix has adapted the stories of Daphne, Anthony, and Colin. The upcoming seasons are expected to dive into the lives of Benedict, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth.
Fans can also expect some returning favorites like Nicola Coughlan, Jonathan Bailey, Claudia Jessie, Ruth Gemmell, and Simone Ashley. New faces joining the cast include Isabella Wei, Michelle Mao, and Katie Leung, who will play Sophie Baek’s stepsisters and stepmother.
With these renewals and fresh storylines, Bridgerton’s Regency-era drama is clearly here to stay for a while, keeping fans eagerly anticipating what’s next.
