NCIS: Tony & Ziva: Back in 2016, when Anthony DiNozzo decided to leave his job at NCIS to take care of his daughter after her mom, Ziva David, was believed to have died, fans thought that was the end of the road for the two of them. Michael Weatherly, who played Tony, exited the show in the Season 13 finale, and Cote de Pablo, who played Ziva, had already left the show three years before that. So naturally, people assumed their story was done for good.
But then came the big twist: Ziva wasn’t actually dead. She returned in Season 17 and eventually reunited with Tony and their daughter, Tali. The three of them moved to Paris to live together, finally giving fans the long-awaited happy ending for the beloved “Tiva” duo.
And just when fans thought it couldn’t get any better, in February 2024, Paramount+ dropped some huge news: Tony and Ziva are getting their own show! Yep, an entire spin-off series dedicated to their adventures, called NCIS: Tony & Ziva.
Since that announcement, fans have been buzzing with excitement and questions. When will it come out? Who else will be in it? Where can we watch it? This new chapter is giving longtime viewers a fresh dose of their favourite characters, and here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming series.
NCIS: Tony & Ziva release date: When will it premiere?
NCIS: Tony & Ziva will start on Thursday, September 4 on Paramount+. On that day, the first three episodes will come out together. After that, one new episode will be released every Thursday. The show has 10 episodes in total, and the last episode will come out on October 23.
This is actually the second new NCIS show to come out recently. The first one was NCIS: Origins, which started on October 14, 2024, on CBS. That show is about the younger days of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, the same Gibbs we know from the main NCIS series. In Origins, a younger actor named Austin Stowell plays Gibbs when he was starting out as a special agent, while in the original NCIS, he was played by Mark Harmon.
So now fans are getting two exciting new NCIS stories, one about the past, and one about what happens next with Tony and Ziva.
NCIS: Tony & Ziva plot: What is NCIS: Tony & Ziva about?
After Ziva came back in Season 17 for a short time and reunited with Tony, the two of them moved to Paris to raise their daughter, Tali, together. The new show, NCIS: Tony & Ziva, will continue their story from this point. In the show, Tony is running his own security company. But things take a turn when the company is suddenly attacked. After that, Tony and Ziva have to escape and go on the run all across Europe. As they run, they try to find out who is behind the attack and why someone is after them.
When the premiere date was announced in June 2025, the two stars, Cote de Pablo (Ziva) and Michael Weatherly (Tony), said in a fun statement that getting back into these roles after over ten years has been an unforgettable adventure. They teased that the show is full of secrets, spies, danger, romance and even a “self-driving murder car.” (Yes, that last part sounds strange, but they promise it’ll make sense when you watch!)
At first, the show didn’t have an official name. People just called it the Tony & Ziva spin-off. Some of the possible names were NCIS: Europe or NCIS: Trust No One. But in early May, de Pablo and Weatherly finally announced the real title on Instagram, NCIS: Tony & Ziva.
NCIS: Tony & Ziva cast details
Paramount+ has shared a list of the actors who will be in NCIS: Tony & Ziva, along with the names of their characters and a little bit about who they are. Some of these roles will be familiar to fans, for example, we already know that Tali is the daughter of Tony and Ziva. But for other characters, it’s not so clear yet how they will fit into the story or how they might be connected to the old NCIS team we remember. Viewers will have to watch the show to see how all these new and old characters come together.

Will NCIS: Tony & Ziva be on CBS? Can I watch NCIS: Tony & Ziva on CBS?
NCIS: Tony & Ziva will only be available to watch on Paramount+. That means you won’t see it on regular TV channels, not even on CBS, even though CBS and Paramount+ are part of the same company.
In the past, some shows that were only made for Paramount+ or the Paramount Network did end up being shown on CBS. For example, Yellowstone (which is from the Paramount Network) and Tulsa King (which is from Paramount+) were both shown on CBS later on. Yellowstone aired during the writers and actors’ strike when CBS needed more shows to fill their schedule, and Tulsa King was shown in the summer of 2024 before its second season came out, just to get people more interested.
But not every Paramount+ show ends up on CBS. For instance, Landman and Lioness, which are also Paramount+ originals, have never aired on CBS. So there’s no way to know for sure if NCIS: Tony & Ziva will ever be shown outside of Paramount+. If you want to watch it right away, you’ll need a Paramount+ subscription.
Where can I watch NCIS: Tony & Ziva?
If you want to watch NCIS: Tony & Ziva, you’ll need a Paramount+ subscription. The show will be available to stream online only on Paramount+, so you won’t be able to watch it on regular TV or other streaming apps. As long as you have a Paramount+ account, you can watch the episodes anytime after they come out.
