Alex Pina, the mastermind behind Money Heist, is gearing up to launch a new crime drama titled Billionaire’s Bunker, set to stream on Netflix. The series will follow a group of billionaires who, fearing the outbreak of World War III, seek safety in a high-end underground bunker. Directed by Esther Martinez Lobato, who has collaborated with Pina on many of his previous projects, Billionaire’s Bunker promises to be an intense, gripping addition to Netflix’s crime drama lineup. Lobato will also serve as a producer alongside Pina.
Lobato is no stranger to Pina’s work, having been involved in the creation of hit shows like Sky Rojo, Berlin, Money Heist, and White Lines. Billionaire’s Bunker will mark Pina’s fifth project with Netflix, solidifying his partnership with the streaming giant.
The show’s plot, as outlined on IMDb, imagines a scenario where World War III is on the brink of breaking out, and a group of ultra-wealthy individuals retreat to a luxury bunker called Kimera Underground Park to escape the chaos. While the world above collapses in turmoil, these billionaires will watch the events unfold through screens from the safety of their underground sanctuary. Their new home, though surrounded by catastrophe, will offer them every comfort—featuring a basketball court, restaurant, zen garden, cocktail bar, gym, spa, and even a psychologist’s couch.
The cast of Billionaire’s Bunker will include Natalia Verbeke, Carlos Santos, Miren Ibarguren, Omar Banana, Montse Guallar, and Samuel Lopez, among others. Given Pina’s track record with creating popular and critically acclaimed series, expectations are high for this new project.
While Netflix has not officially confirmed a release date yet, reports suggest that Billionaire’s Bunker is scheduled to premiere on September 19, 2025. Fans of Pina’s work can look forward to another thrilling ride with this new show.
