Miss Undercover Boss is an upcoming tvN K-drama that’s already drawing attention for its intriguing plot and star-studded potential cast. Set during the turbulent IMF crisis of the late 1990s, the series centers on a high-level securities supervisor who goes undercover to investigate shady dealings at a financial firm.
Popular actress Park Shin Hye takes the lead as the fearless and sharp Shin Jung Woo, a 35-year-old elite securities supervisor. In a bold move, she goes undercover as a 20-year-old rookie employee at Hanmin Securities, a firm suspected of illegal activities. Her mission? To dig deep and expose the truth from the inside.
Excitement is especially high as ITZY’s Yuna is rumored to be making her acting debut in the drama. According to online buzz from Instiz, she may play Park Shin Hye’s younger sister in the series. While fans are eager to see Yuna step into acting, her agency, JYP Entertainment, has not officially confirmed the news.
On June 17, Star News reported that actress Ha Yoon Kyung is also in talks to join the show. She’s been offered the role of Go Bok Hee, a loyal and hard-working secretary to the president of Hanmin Securities. Her character is expected to bring a splash of color to the drama—both literally and figuratively—showing up in a bright polka-dot dress and injecting the story with her quirky charm. Go Bok Hee will reportedly play a key role in one of the show’s major plotlines.
Go Kyung Pyo was previously offered the role of the male lead, who shares the same name—Shin Jung Woo—as Park Shin Hye’s character. In the drama, he would portray the newly appointed CEO of Hanmin Securities. His character is a strategic corporate raider with hidden motives, returning to Yeouido with a dark agenda.
Miss Undercover Boss promises an exciting mix of office comedy, undercover suspense, and retro financial drama, all set against the backdrop of Korea’s economic turmoil in the late ‘90s. If confirmed, this series will bring together seasoned actors and rising stars, making it one of the most anticipated dramas in the first half of 2026.
