Jungkook and Mingyu are once again proving why they’re one of K-pop’s favorite friendship duos. The two ’97 liners showed off their easy chemistry during a recent Instagram livestream hosted by SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu and leader S.Coups. Fans were thrilled when Jungkook suddenly appeared in the chat, leaving comments and casually joining the fun conversation.
The surprise interaction quickly went viral, as both idols exchanged lighthearted messages that showed just how close they really are. Mingyu laughed when he noticed Jungkook in the comments, joking that it felt “uncomfortable” having someone he actually knows watching his livestream. Jungkook teased back, making the SEVENTEEN members laugh even harder. They also chatted about the time difference and promised to go live together one day.
Things got even more exciting when a fan asked if the two would ever film the “5, 4, 3 (Pretty Woman)” dance challenge together. Without hesitation, Jungkook replied that he was ready anytime. Mingyu grinned at his friend’s quick response, saying they should make it happen soon. Before leaving the livestream, Jungkook wished them well on their North American tour and even apologized to SEVENTEEN fans for suddenly popping in. But his parting comment stole the show — he simply wrote, “Love you dude,” leaving Mingyu laughing and fans swooning.
The interaction sent both fandoms into a frenzy, with clips and screenshots flooding social media. Fans adored seeing the two idols’ natural bond and playful dynamic. Mingyu even promised they’d hang out soon and maybe film a joint livestream when they get the chance.
Jungkook and Mingyu are part of the well-known ’97 liners friend group — a star-studded squad that includes GOT7’s BamBam and Yugyeom, NCT’s Jaehyun, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, SEVENTEEN’s DK and The8, and sometimes even Stray Kids’ Bang Chan. With their combined charm and brotherly energy, it’s no wonder every small moment between them becomes a viral fan favorite.
