Back on fashion’s grandest stage, Miley Cyrus delivered a bold statement — part vintage rockstar, part high-fashion force.
The Grammy-winning artist made her triumphant return to the Met Gala 2025, donning a midriff-baring Alaïa leather crop top paired with a voluminous black skirt. The edgy yet refined look was completed with Cartier jewelry, a slicked-back hairdo, and a gleaming gold choker that commanded attention amidst her all-black ensemble.
This year’s Met Gala theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, honored the legacy and artistry of Black menswear. It gave attendees space to experiment with silhouettes, materials, and cultural interpretations. Cyrus embraced the theme with a fierce twist — fusing crocodile-skin textures and dramatic tailoring with her unmistakable rocker edge. The result? A look that was both respectful of the theme and unapologetically Miley.
First attending the Met Gala in 2013, and later in 2019 alongside then-husband Liam Hemsworth, Cyrus, 32, returned this year solo, self-assured, and in full fashion command. Despite swirling headlines about family tension, the Flowers hitmaker appeared unfazed — glowing under the blue carpet lights and soaking in her moment among fashion’s elite.
Her appearance also served as a perfect teaser for what’s to come: Cyrus’s upcoming studio album, Something Beautiful, is set to drop on May 30, much to the anticipation of her fans worldwide.
With a look that echoed rebellion and poise in equal measure, Miley proved once again: she doesn’t just attend the Met Gala — she owns it.
