Meghan Markle’s estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr., has reportedly relocated to the Philippines, according to The Mirror. The 80-year-old is now living in a £500-a-month high-rise flat in Cebu, a bustling city in the central part of the country. He’s said to be under the care of Meghan’s half-brother, Thomas Jr., who moved with him to provide support.

Eyewitnesses spotted Thomas Sr. sitting alone outside a supermarket near his new home just a day after his grandson Archie’s birthday. Photos show him navigating the area with a walking stick, as he reportedly deals with the country’s intense heat and uneven roads—no easy task for someone his age, especially after having suffered two heart attacks in the past.

A local insider commented on his condition:

“It’s brutal even for men half his age, but it’s still sad to see him looking as though he’s struggling.”

Despite the tough conditions, sources say the move was a joint decision between Thomas Sr. and Thomas Jr., and the two are “firmly supporting each other” as they adjust to life in Cebu. Before settling into their flat, the pair briefly stayed at a three-star hotel in the area.

Thomas Sr. had previously spent the last decade living in Rosarito, Mexico, in a beachside bungalow roughly 250 miles from his daughter Meghan’s home in Montecito, California, where she lives with Prince Harry and their two children, Archie and Lilibet.

There has been no indication of renewed contact between Meghan and her father, who has been estranged from her for several years following a series of public controversies and interviews.
