Meghan Markle reportedly clashed with Prince Harry’s charity chair, Sophie Chandauka, over behavior concerns

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has once again landed in controversy — this time over her behavior at a Sentebale charity polo event. Fresh claims reported by The Daily Mail shed more light on the situation, following earlier criticisms from Sentebale chairperson Dr. Sophie Chandauka.

According to a source close to the event, tensions reportedly began when Markle made a surprise appearance at the fundraiser. “The problem started with Meghan,” the insider claimed, alleging that the Duchess “doesn’t like Sophie.” Dr. Chandauka had intended to personally introduce Meghan to key supporters and guests, but the actress reportedly declined.

Instead of mingling, Meghan was said to have retreated to a private tent with her close friend, tennis star Serena Williams. The source added, “Staff working that day were scrambling to get champagne for Meghan — both Sentebale and Archewell teams were caught up trying to cater to her demands. Sentebale was not pleased about this.”

This new account comes after Dr. Chandauka’s interview with Sky News, where she previously criticized the chaos that erupted on stage during the same Florida polo event last year. Chandauka explained that had they been informed of Meghan’s attendance beforehand, the event could have been better organized. “The choreography went badly on stage because we had too many people on stage,” she recalled.

Further complicating matters, Dr. Chandauka revealed that Prince Harry had privately requested she issue a statement in defense of Meghan following negative media coverage — a request she declined. “We cannot be an extension of the Sussexes,” she said firmly.

The unfolding situation adds another layer of tension between the Sussexes and organizations they have been associated with post-royal exit, raising further questions about their relationships within the charity world.
