Meghan Markle just launched her very first podcast—and she did it with the cutest trip down memory lane! On Tuesday, April 8, the Duchess of Sussex marked the debut of her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder by sharing some adorable throwback photos from her childhood as a Girl Scout selling cookies.
In the post, Meghan wrote, “Being an entrepreneur can start young,” alongside sweet pictures of her younger self in a brown Girl Scouts uniform, proudly holding up cookie boxes. She cheekily added that she’s “still selling cookies” all these years later—referring to the buttery shortbread treats with floral sprinkles sold under her new lifestyle brand, As Ever.
To kick off the podcast series, Meghan teamed up with none other than Whitney Wolfe Herd, the powerhouse founder and CEO of Bumble. Their conversation touched on everything from building a business to the complexities of motherhood. Meghan also opened up about a deeply personal topic—her battle with postpartum preeclampsia, a rare but serious condition she faced after giving birth.
“It’s so rare and so scary,” Meghan said during the episode. She explained how hard it was to go through something so intense privately while still trying to be present for everyone—especially her kids. Although she didn’t mention whether it happened during her pregnancy with Prince Archie, 5, or Princess Lilibet, 3, it was clear the experience left a big impact on her.
The nostalgic post included three heartwarming photos: one of young Meghan smiling for the camera with her cookie box, another of her at a cookie-selling event with fellow scouts, and a final shot of her holding balloons in front of a cookie booth with another child.
This podcast debut follows the recent launch of her Netflix lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, giving fans a peek into her personal life and passions. A few weeks ago, she even teased the podcast studio on her Instagram story—just a glimpse of what’s to come.
Now streaming everywhere, Confessions of a Female Founder is already making waves with its honest, empowering conversations. And if Meghan’s cookie-selling roots are any indication, she’s always been a natural entrepreneur.
