Meghan Markle could be facing a $10 million lawsuit after a fan claimed she suffered “catastrophic” burns from trying out a bath salt recipe the Duchess shared on her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan.
The woman, Robin Patrick, reportedly followed the recipe Markle demonstrated in an episode where Meghan was making a gift basket for her friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin. After watching the clip, Patrick recreated the bath salts at home using the same ingredients.
At first, Patrick felt a mild tingling sensation that didn’t bother her, but when the bathwater covered her legs and buttocks, she experienced intense burning and discomfort. She had to quickly get out of the tub and noticed the mixture was causing serious irritation.
Patrick is still dealing with pain and skin damage from the burns and has asked Meghan for compensation, claiming the Duchess should have provided warnings about potential side effects of the bath salts. The lawsuit threat demands $10 million for “cosmetic distress” and physical pain.
Robin Patrick says she’s open to settling the issue financially without going to court, but she’s serious about pursuing legal action if her demands aren’t met.
Meanwhile, With Love, Meghan has faced criticism since its release, and this incident has added to the scrutiny.
