Matt Kalil has filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife Haley Baylee for USD 75,000. The two were married in 2015 and divorced after seven years together, parting ways in November 2025. The legal dispute comes after Haley made a comment about Matt during a live stream that went viral and grabbed widespread attention.

According to the lawsuit, Matt said Haley’s comment caused him unwanted publicity. He claimed it pulled him back into the spotlight, which he had avoided since retiring. He also said it negatively affected his new wife and family, leading him to take legal action.

Haley responded to the lawsuit in a statement to Page Six. She said she was hurt and surprised by Matt’s decision. Haley explained that she has always spoken positively about Matt in interviews and that the comment in question is still on YouTube, where the full context is visible. She said:

“The truth is in the original livestream, which is still live on Marlon’s YouTube account. I speak highly of him in multiple ways throughout that conversation.”

During the live stream with Marlon Garcia, Haley had discussed her divorce from Matt. She talked about trying therapy, doctors, and even cosmetic procedures, but said nothing worked. She then made a comment about Matt’s “size,” joking that it was “two Coca Cola cans stacked on top of each other, or maybe even a third.” The remark quickly went viral and sparked widespread gossip.

Haley expressed that she was genuinely shocked and heartbroken over the lawsuit. She described the legal process as emotionally draining and said she was saddened that Matt chose to involve their families in this way. She added:

“I am genuinely shocked and incredibly hurt upon receiving the news of this filing. Litigation is a harrowing and emotionally draining experience, and I am heartbroken that he is choosing to subject us and our families to this ordeal.”

After the comment went viral, Matt was even offered a USD 300,000 deal to front a campaign for CamSoda, an adult webcam site that celebrates viral moments for men.

Haley also emphasized that the live stream covered much more than just the viral soundbite. She said the conversation reflected the love, growth, and connection they shared during their marriage. She expressed disappointment that one fragment was taken out of context and amplified online. Haley said:

“During our livestream, we talked about so much more than what’s being highlighted, the love in our marriage, the growth we experienced, the depth of our connection. It’s unfortunate that only one fragment is being amplified, because it doesn’t capture the full story of how meaningful things were to me. I hope our hour-and-a-half-long conversation reflects more than a funny soundbite.”

The situation has left fans divided, with many debating whether Haley’s comment was harmless humor or a serious invasion of privacy. The lawsuit is ongoing, and both sides are sharing their sides of the story publicly.
