Marvel Rivals is celebrating Halloween with spooky events, limited-time rewards, and a brand-new skin for Blade. The special skin, called Blade Knight, transforms the Daywalker into Moon Knight for his Halloween look.

You can earn the Blade Knight skin for free through the Voyage to Astonish event. This event connects directly to the Marvel Zombies mode. To move across the event board, you’ll need to collect Lanterns, which you earn by completing missions, mainly by playing Marvel Zombies. Each Lantern lets you roll and move to a new reward space on the board. There are 21 total rewards, and Blade Knight is one of the later ones, so it’ll take some time to unlock.

If you want even more items, there’s also a premium event pass for 690 Lattice (around $7) that adds extra rewards. Both the Halloween events will run until November 14.

The Marvel Zombies event introduces a new PvE mode where up to four players team up to survive waves of zombies. There are 10 missions to complete, with new ones unlocking daily. You’ll face off against bosses like Namor halfway through and Scarlet Witch at the end.

Players can choose from five characters: The Punisher, Magik, Thor, Blade, and Jeff the Land Shark. You can even have duplicate heroes in your team. Each character has a skill tree that lets you customize abilities and play styles, and you can reset these anytime. Leveling up earns skill points and unlocks new ability variations as you progress.

All heroes share the same level progression, so experience gained with one character applies to all of them. You’ll get XP for completing objectives and defeating zombies.

The game features seven difficulty levels, from Normal to Nightmare IV. You’ll need to beat each difficulty to unlock the next. Every mission plays like a roguelike run, you battle through zones, earn points, and use those points to buy temporary upgrades between rounds. These upgrades come as cards, and you can reroll or try a mystery spin for random bonuses.

Boss fights are the biggest challenges. Namor becomes invincible at certain points, and you’ll need to destroy his squid turrets to weaken him. Scarlet Witch’s final fight is a race against time, she’ll try to use her Reality Erasure ability, and you must defeat her before the progress bar under her health empties. Destroying red crystals during the fight will buy you a little more time.

The Halloween event adds a fun, challenging twist to Marvel Rivals, giving players the chance to earn unique rewards and test their skills against zombie hordes. And with the free Blade Knight skin up for grabs, it’s the perfect time to jump in before the event ends on November 14.
