Marjorie Taylor Greene, whose own party is now pointing spears at her

The GOP, resembling a chaotic group of children attempting to govern themselves and others, mirrors the dystopian chaos of William Golding’s “Lord of the Flies,” with Donald Trump as their revered figurehead, akin to the rotting pig’s head in the novel.

Just as the boys in Golding’s tale descend into savagery due to their immaturity, so too are the Republicans witnessing the erosion of their dominance in the House amidst internal strife. In their search for a scapegoat, they seem to have found one in Marjorie Taylor Greene, whose influence is waning within the party.

Often likened to Bellatrix Lestrange, Taylor Greene has long been unpopular outside the MAGA sphere, but now even her fellow Republican representatives are distancing themselves from her, or perhaps even plotting against her behind her back.

North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis didn’t mince words when describing his disdain for MTG, labeling her as “uninformed” and “a total waste of time.” He went further to assert that she is not only a terrible leader but also the biggest impediment to the GOP’s return to power.

Despite her usual knack for turning any topic into an attack on liberals, Taylor Greene has remained conspicuously silent in response to Tillis’ scathing remarks. One can only imagine her reaction upon realizing that she’s become the obstacle to her party’s and her own success, perhaps akin to Thanos’ dumbfounded expression when Iron Man outmaneuvered him for the Infinity Stones.

It appears that MTG’s standing within the party is shifting, especially as her attempt to remove Speaker Mike Johnson from power has backfired. While she portrays Johnson as the betrayer, figures like Tillis see her as the real threat to GOP unity.

The buzzing noise? It might just be the flies swarming around the demise of MTG’s political career.
