Honkai Star Rail 4.x is shaping up to be a huge update. Players will move to a new main location called Edo Star. This place is expected to become the next big hub for the Trailblaze story. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but many leaks are spreading online. These leaks talk about the characters we might meet on Edo Star and the banners that could appear in each version. We looked through the reliable leaks and put everything together in one easy list so you can understand what is coming.

Sparkle is said to return in version 4.0, but she will not be the same character we already know. This time she is getting a new form that follows the Elation path. Her element is still unknown. In this form she is expected to act more like a damage dealer. Some leaks even say her old Harmony version will work extremely well with her new one, which makes things even more interesting.
Another character who may arrive in the same update is Yaoguang. She is one of the seven Arbiter Generals of the Xianzhou fleet. People call her the Seer Strategist. She is seen as a powerful figure, so players expect her to have a strong kit. Her exact role, path and element have not been leaked yet, but insiders think she might also be a damage focused unit.
Version 4.1 appears to introduce La Mancha. This character leads the Galaxy Rangers. Not much is known about them. Even the gender is unclear right now. Leaks say the character is inspired by the hero of Don Quixote. But since Hoyoverse often changes things, we cannot assume anything. What we do know is that La Mancha is tied to the Hunt path, which usually means a fast single target style of play.
Pearl is also expected in the 4.1 update. She is one of the Ten Stonehearts from the IPC. She holds a high position as a senior manager in the Strategic Investment Department. Pearl was first seen in the Stoneheart’s Oath trailer. She took part in a vote that affected Aventurine’s fate. Her element and path are not confirmed yet, though some leaks say she might lean toward a Preservation style kit.
Version 4.2 may bring back Silver Wolf with a new form. She is a very well known character, so the idea of her getting a fresh version has gained a lot of excitement. Leakers say she will not play the same support role this time. This suggests she could become a more aggressive unit. Her redesign is still unknown.
4.2 might also introduce Yae Sakura. She comes from Honkai Impact 3rd, but the Honkai Star Rail version will not be the same person. It will be an EXPY version. The leaks say she will use the Ice element and will act mainly as a DPS. She may also play a key role in the Edo Star storyline, since earlier hints from Acheron mention her in passing.
Blade is another character who may get a new form somewhere around 4.3. Blade has always been a fan favorite. His return in a stronger or more updated version has created a lot of hype. This also adds more weight to the rumor that the Stellaron Hunters will have a big presence on Edo Star. Blade will most likely remain a DPS character, because it is hard to imagine him doing anything else based on his personality and story.
Himeko may also get a new 5 star form in 4.3 or later. Fans have been waiting for a long time for Himeko to become a serious meta option. Her current version is decent only in a few modes. Leaks suggest her new form will use the Fire element, which connects strongly to her history in Honkai Impact 3rd. She is also rumored to share the spotlight with Yae Sakura in the upcoming story arc.
