Lil Nas X has reassured his fans after sharing a concerning video from a hospital bed, where he revealed that he had lost control of the right side of his face. In the video, the rapper, who was wearing a hospital gown and a Von Dutch cap, attempted to smile, but only half of his face moved. He humorously remarked, “This is me doing a full smile right now,” adding, “Bro, I can’t even laugh right.” In his caption, he wrote, “Soooo lost control of the right side of my face,” which quickly sparked concern from fans and celebrities alike.
Celebrities like Taraji P. Henson and Wanda Sykes sent their well wishes, encouraging him to rest and recover. Fans flooded his comments with messages of support, hoping for his speedy recovery.
In response to the outpouring of concern, Lil Nas X returned to Instagram to reassure everyone that he was okay. In a follow-up video, he tried to lighten the mood by showing both sides of his face and laughing, saying, “We normal over here. We get crazy over here,” with the caption, “I’m so cooked.” He also posted another story saying, “Guys I am OK!! Stop being sad for me!”
Although he did not provide specifics about what caused the sudden facial paralysis, he emphasized that it was temporary and encouraged his followers not to worry. He also mentioned that he may look a bit funny for a while, but that it would be fine in the end.
Despite this health scare, Lil Nas X is still focused on his career, recently celebrating his 26th birthday and promoting his new EP, Days Before Dreamboy, which was released last month. The EP is a prequel to his upcoming album Dreamboy, and Nas X has shared that he is entering a new creative era focused on authenticity and doing what aligns with his true vision.
