Lil Nas X is facing a major legal crisis after prosecutors in Los Angeles officially charged him with four felonies. The Grammy-winning rapper, whose real name is Montero Hill, was arrested last week after he was spotted wandering naked along Ventura Boulevard in Studio City.

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, he is facing three felony counts of battery with injury against a police officer and one felony count of resisting an executive officer. He has been held without bail since his arrest at Valley Jail in Van Nuys and is scheduled to be arraigned at the Van Nuys courthouse.

Police said the incident began around 5:50 a.m. last Thursday when officers responded to reports of a man behaving erratically. LAPD Officer Charles Miller confirmed that upon arrival, the suspect charged at officers before being restrained and taken into custody. He was first taken to a local hospital amid concerns of a possible overdose, then booked on multiple charges.

The bizarre scene was caught on video and quickly went viral after being obtained by TMZ. The clip showed Lil Nas X walking down the street in just cowboy boots and underwear, and at times completely nude. He was seen interacting with bystanders and even shouting, “Hey, don’t be late to the party tonight.” The footage shocked fans and sparked an outpouring of concern online.

Thousands of supporters flooded social media, with many urging compassion. “Pray for him instead of laughing,” one fan wrote, while another said, “He’s clearly not okay… he needs help, not jail.”

This isn’t the first time the 25-year-old has faced health struggles. Back in April, he revealed he had been hospitalised with partial facial paralysis, news that left his fanbase deeply worried.

Lil Nas X rose to fame in 2018 with his smash hit Old Town Road, which dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for a record-breaking 19 weeks. Since then, he has become one of music’s most recognisable figures, known for his bold artistry, unapologetic style, and frequent controversies.
