Life360 has announced the launch of its new lineup of Bluetooth trackers under the Tile brand, marking the first product release since its $205 million acquisition of Tile in 2021. The revamped Tile trackers come with a fresh design, new colors, and several upgraded functionalities aimed at enhancing user convenience and safety.
The updated Tile collection includes four models: Tile Mate priced at $25, Tile Pro at $35, Tile Slim at $30, and Tile Sticker at $25. Each tracker has been redesigned to offer improved performance and additional features. The Tile Mate, known for tracking everyday items like keys and bags, and the Tile Pro, which boasts the loudest ring and extended Bluetooth range, are now equipped with a new multi-function button. This button activates a Life360 SOS alert, allowing users to send a silent distress signal to their emergency contacts with a triple-press. The SOS alert system is free for all users, though a subscription to Life360’s premium plans—Silver ($8/month), Gold ($15/month), and Platinum ($25/month)—provides additional services like alerting third-party emergency dispatchers.
The Tile Pro now offers an extended Bluetooth range of up to 500 feet, compared to its predecessor’s 400 feet. All models, including the Tile Mate, Tile Slim, and Tile Pro, feature a louder ring to help locate misplaced items more easily. The new trackers are available in bright colors—aqua blue, green, navy blue, and pink—designed to appeal to families and assist in organizing and identifying items.
Since integrating with Life360 in 2022, Tile users can now utilize Life360’s app features, including tracking Tile items on the Life360 map and using the Tile to locate nearby items. Both Life360 and Tile can also locate a missing phone, even if it is on silent, by ringing the Tile.
David Steinwedel, Life360’s senior director of product, emphasized the company’s commitment to family safety and connectivity with these new features, particularly the SOS alert system, which he describes as a key differentiator for the new lineup.
