Leslie Bibb is bringing a fresh twist to her role as a Texas housewife, Kate Bohr, in Season 3 of The White Lotus, drawing inspiration from none other than The Real Housewives franchise. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Bibb revealed that she turned to The Real Housewives episodes to prepare for her role, specifically watching them right before filming scenes. “I was watching The Real Housewives always before scenes,” she admitted, explaining that she let the show’s influence subtly seep in without consciously trying.

Bibb pointed out that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and The Real Housewives of Orange County were the main sources of inspiration. She felt that the luxury and drama of Beverly Hills was a good match for her character, Kate, and hinted at some similarities to OC‘s Heather Dubrow, who is known for her polished, affluent persona.

Bibb wasn’t the only one getting reality TV inspiration for The White Lotus. Co-star Jason Isaacs, who plays Timothy Ratliff, shared that creator Mike White had encouraged the cast to watch Southern Charm for research. Isaacs revealed that his portrayal of Ratliff was partly inspired by former Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel.

The upcoming season of the hit HBO series is set to deliver more luxury, drama, and dark comedy with an all-star cast, including Parker Posey, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, and Natasha Rothwell. Bibb also gave a shout-out to her partner, Sam Rockwell, who recently appeared in an episode, calling his performance “iconic.”

With her Real Housewives-inspired approach, Bibb is sure to bring a unique layer of authenticity to her role, adding to the high-stakes drama that The White Lotus is known for.
