Lady Gaga made a powerful return to Coachella in 2025 with a headlining performance that lit up the festival’s opening weekend and reminded everyone why she’s one of pop music’s biggest forces. Taking the stage on Friday night in Indio, California, the 39-year-old superstar delivered a two-hour spectacle that combined fan-favorite classics with songs from her brand-new album Mayhem.
Gaga kicked off her set with the eerie, fan-loved track “Bloody Mary” and kept the energy high with hits like “Poker Face,” “Alejandro,” and her new standout, “Abracadabra.” She ended the night with a showstopping performance of “Bad Romance,” capping off a 20-song celebration of her ever-evolving sound and theatrical flair.
Before the show, Gaga shared her approach with Uproxx, saying, “People want the hits, and I get that. But I’ve always stayed true to my artistry no matter where I perform — and Coachella gives me the space to be both creative and iconic.”
Her Coachella appearance comes just weeks after Mayhem dropped and just before her Mayhem Ball tour begins this July. That tour, already sold out, will carry this bold new era across the globe.
This isn’t her first time at the Coachella helm. Gaga last headlined the festival in 2017, stepping in for Beyoncé during her pregnancy. That set introduced “The Cure” and delivered fan favorites like “Born This Way” and “Telephone.” Beyoncé would return the following year with her now-legendary “Homecoming” performance.
Whether revisiting her early career or pushing into new creative territory, Gaga’s 2025 Coachella set was a thrilling reminder of her impact, creativity, and staying power as a performer.
