Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet made headlines with their long-anticipated red carpet debut as a couple at the 2024 David di Donatello Awards in Rome—though not without a brief, slightly awkward moment.
The couple, who have been dating for two years, appeared at the ceremony where Chalamet was honored with the David Award for Cinematic Excellence. As he stood to accept the accolade, he leaned in for a kiss from Jenner. While the first kiss landed, the “Dune” actor seemed to miss Jenner’s cue for a second, leaving her momentarily hanging in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment captured on video.
Despite the brief fumble, the evening marked a milestone in their relationship, as it was their first official red carpet appearance together. Walking hand in hand, the duo coordinated in elegant black ensembles—Jenner in a sleek, floor-length Schiaparelli gown and Chalamet in a black velvet suit.
Their body language spoke volumes throughout the night. At one point, Jenner whispered something in Chalamet’s ear, prompting a subtle smile, and the two were seen holding each other close during photos. The pair exuded quiet intimacy and genuine connection amid the high-profile backdrop.
This public appearance follows Jenner’s attendance at the 2025 Academy Awards, where she supported Chalamet despite his Best Actor nomination not translating into a win.
Their relationship has largely remained out of the spotlight since they were first linked in April 2023, when Jenner’s car was seen outside Chalamet’s residence. They later confirmed their romance publicly in September 2023 with a kiss at Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour.
At the time, a source told People, “It’s been really fun for her because it feels a lot different than her past relationships. It’s new and exciting for Kylie, and she’s having a lot of fun.”
With their joint appearance in Rome, the couple seems more comfortable than ever stepping into the public eye—awkward kisses and all.
