Actor Kim Soo Hyun has once again demonstrated his enduring popularity by topping the 74th Superstar Brand Power list in the male category. Despite being entangled in a major controversy involving allegations of dating Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor, and the legal battle between his agency and her bereaved family, Kim has remained a dominant force in the entertainment industry. According to Korean media outlet Top Star News, he secured the top position by gathering over 1,043,280 votes out of a total 2.45 million votes cast between May 28 and June 4. This marks his sixth consecutive week at number one.
Even though his most recent drama, Queen of Tears, concluded over a year ago and his next project has been indefinitely postponed, Kim Soo Hyun still managed to outpace other notable actors in the ranking. Singer-actor Kim Hee Jae followed in second place with 468,270 votes, while Byeon Woo Seok, who has been enjoying a popularity surge following his role in Lovely Runner, took the third spot with 301,290 votes.
In the female category, Kim Hye Yoon continued her streak by securing the number one position for the 46th week in a row. Known for her performances in Lovely Runner and Snowdrop, she received 981,210 votes, maintaining a strong lead over Park Eun Bin, who followed with 362,580 votes. Im Yoon Ah, known for her recent work in King of the Land, came in third with 301,150 votes.
