The Korean drama You and Everything Else has finished filming and is now looking at a September 12 release on Netflix, according to What’s on Netflix. Fans have been waiting for this one because of the team behind it. Director Jo Young Min, known for Do You Like Brahms? and The Interest of Love, is leading the project, and writer Song Hye Jin, who impressed audiences with The Smile Has Left Your Eyes, is penning the story.
The drama focuses on Ryu Eun Joong, played by Kim Go Eun, and Cheon Sang Yeon, played by Park Ji Hyun. They’ve been best friends since elementary school, but their lives have gone in very different directions. Sang Yeon seems to have it all, while Eun Joong experiences moments of jealousy along the way.
Now at 42, they reunite at very different stages in their careers. Eun Joong is a screenwriter trying to make a name for herself, and Sang Yeon is a successful filmmaker. One day, Sang Yeon asks Eun Joong to help her with a special project. She is facing terminal cancer and wants to plan her final days with the help of her best friend. The story explores their friendship and the lasting impact they have had on each other over the years.
Kim Gun Woo joins the cast as Kim Sang Hak, a senior from their college days. He is dating Eun Joong now, but he also has a past with Sang Yeon from their photography club. The drama promises emotional moments, looking back on decades of friendship and love.
