The 25th BET Awards nominees are out, and Kendrick Lamar is stealing the spotlight with a whopping 10 nominations! Close behind are Doechii, Future, GloRilla, and Drake, each with 6 nods.
Kendrick’s big nominations include Album of the Year for GNX and Video of the Year for Not Like Us. He’s also up for three Viewer’s Choice awards for songs like Not Like Us, Luther (featuring SZA), and Like That (with Future and Metro Boomin). Plus, Kendrick is nominated for three Best Collaboration awards, and he’s in the running for Best Male Hip Hop Artist and Video Director of the Year alongside Dave Free.
Drake snagged six nominations too, including Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Album of the Year for $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, and Video of the Year for Family Matters. He’s also up for Viewer’s Choice (Nokia) and Best Group with PartyNextDoor.
Doechii’s nominations include Album of the Year for Alligator Bites Never Heal, Video of the Year and Viewer’s Choice for Denial is a River, the BET Her award for Bloom, Best Collaboration for Alter Ego (with JT), and Best Female Hip Hop Artist.
GloRilla also received six nominations, including Best Female Hip Hop Artist and Album of the Year for Glorious. Other notable nominees like SZA and The Weeknd got four nominations each, while artists like Arya Starr, Chris Brown, and Lil Wayne got three.
The big night is set for June 9 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with Kevin Hart hosting live on BET.
