Ken Jennings is making the most of the last days of summer before he heads back to host a brand new season of Jeopardy!. And this time, it’s not trivia that has fans buzzing but rather his choice of snack.
On August 28, Ken shared a lighthearted Instagram post from a Seattle theater, where he sat smiling with a big tub of popcorn on his lap. But this wasn’t ordinary popcorn. It was the theater’s famous chocolate-drizzled popcorn, a sweet-and-salty treat that has locals raving.
Ken wrote that while many things in the world don’t seem to be getting better, one thing has definitely improved. Seattle’s historic Cinerama theater, which had been closed since 2020, was saved and reopened by SIFF in 2023. That meant the return of its legendary chocolate popcorn, which he clearly couldn’t resist.
The theater, now called SIFF Cinema Downtown, is known not only for its giant 97-foot curved Cinerama screen but also for its signature snacks and local craft beer. Still, the chocolate popcorn stole the spotlight in Ken’s post.
In the photos, Ken looked relaxed in a light blue button-down shirt with the top button undone, smiling as he showed off his snack. The second picture gave fans a close-up of the popcorn itself, with pieces glistening under a drizzle of chocolate.
Fans wasted no time reacting. Many admitted they were drooling over the treat. “That looks so good!!” one wrote. Another added, “Glad to see a theater reopening. The world feels heavy right now, so thanks for sharing something positive.” Others who knew the popcorn’s reputation were thrilled. “Yes!! So glad it’s back.
