For the first time, Katy showed off little Daisy to the world, but it wasn’t a decision the parents made lightly. According to an insider who spoke to The Daily Mail, Katy and her husband, Orlando Bloom, had multiple conversations before deciding to let their daughter witness the space trip. They went back and forth about whether it was a good idea to expose their previously private little one to such a public event.
Ultimately, they agreed that it would be a special and memorable way to introduce Daisy to the world, with the source adding that they also considered the worst-case scenarios where things could go wrong. However, it was Jeff Bezos — yes, the Amazon founder — who convinced them that the risk was “incredibly low,” giving them the reassurance they needed.
Another insider explained that they wanted Daisy to see that her mom could do amazing things, even something as incredible as traveling to space. “It was a way to show her that her mom could do anything,” the source shared.
While Daisy was stealing the spotlight in her astronaut outfit as she watched her mom’s space mission, Orlando Bloom, who was there too, kept a low profile off-camera. He didn’t want to take attention away from Katy’s big moment and also didn’t want people to see the concern in his eyes as he watched the historic journey unfold.
