According to sources close to the Royal family, Kate saw this as an unexpected opportunity to privately reconnect with her brother-in-law, despite the ongoing rift between Harry and his brother, Prince William.
Kate, who has recently undergone a cycle of preventative chemotherapy after a cancer diagnosis, is said to have had her perspective shifted by the experience. It seems that she is eager to mend family ties, especially between Harry and William.
