Liam Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, recently took to TikTok to share an emotional tribute as she reminisced about some of her last memories with the late One Direction star.
In a heartfelt and tearful video, Kate reflected on a particularly special moment she shared with Liam—a wedding they attended in Paris in September 2024. Looking back, she described it as an unforgettable night filled with love, laughter, and pure joy. Sadly, just a month later, in October 2024, Liam tragically passed away in Argentina at the age of 31.
As she was sorting through her old belongings, Kate stumbled upon a beautiful yellow gown—the very dress she wore to that Paris wedding. Overcome with emotions, she shared how much comfort it now brings her, saying, “This dress actually brings me so much peace and comfort. It holds a memory I will never forget.”
The wedding itself was a magical experience for her, not just because of the setting but because it was the first wedding she had ever attended. She recalled how she and Liam had an incredible time together, enjoying every moment of the celebration.
As she continued going through her things, Kate also found a pair of Christian Louboutin heels—the same ones she had worn with that yellow dress. She vividly remembered how they were practically brand new when she put them on, but by the end of the night, they were completely ruined from dancing with Liam.
The next morning, she had shown the scuffed-up shoes to him, laughing about how badly they were worn out. At the time, she had no idea that those shoes, and the memories attached to them, would become so precious to her. “I just can’t even believe I didn’t throw these out,” she admitted. “And I’m so glad I didn’t. This memory is embedded in these shoes.”
Tragically, just a month after that joyful wedding, Liam lost his life in a heartbreaking incident in Argentina. Reports revealed that he had been drinking heavily before falling from his hotel balcony. The authorities later launched an investigation, which resulted in charges against five individuals, including two hotel employees who were allegedly involved in providing him with drugs.
Kate and Liam had been together since 2022, and their relationship was serious—they had even made plans to get married. In the weeks leading up to his passing, she had been in Argentina with him, but she left for Florida to take care of their dog, never imagining that it would be the last time she would see him.
Now, as she looks back on their time together, she holds onto these little mementos—the dress, the shoes, and the memories—finding comfort in the love they shared.
