Kanye West has once again made headlines for the wrong reasons—this time by dragging Frank Ocean into the mix during an Instagram livestream that quickly went viral.
In the now-circulating clip, Ye claimed that back in 2016, Ocean came to his house to talk him out of supporting Donald Trump. West, known for his public MAGA hat phase and surprise visit to Trump Tower, did not take that kindly. Speaking to fellow artist Digital Nas, he launched into an expletive-laced rant:
“Frank Ocean, py ass come over my house talking about Trump all day and how I shouldn’t support Trump… Na, f*** you know about politics?”
He didn’t stop there. West dismissed Ocean’s opinions, declaring he had no political insight and asserting his own dominance not just in politics, but also in artistry:
“None of these nas as talented. I’m the greatest motherfing artist that ever existed… They can just be slightly better at one thing because they only do that one thing.”
West’s latest outburst adds to a growing list of controversies over the past few months, including his reported aggressive behavior and rumors of strain in his relationship with wife Bianca Censori.
This tirade may come as a shock to fans, given that West and Ocean once worked closely together—collaborating on hits like “No Church in the Wild” and “Frank’s Track.” Now, it seems the relationship has soured.
Frank Ocean hasn’t publicly responded to the rant yet, but if Ye’s history is anything to go by, this drama may not be over just yet.
