Wall to Wall is a psychological thriller that peels back the facade of domestic comfort to reveal something far more sinister. At its core is No Woo Sung, played by Kang Ha Neul, a man in his thirties who finally achieves what so many dream of—owning his own apartment. After years of working a modest office job, scraping together savings, borrowing money, and even selling off his mother’s farmland, Woo Sung finally secures the keys to a newly purchased 84-square-meter apartment in Seoul. What should be the beginning of a peaceful chapter in his life quickly devolves into a waking nightmare.
Shortly after moving in, Woo Sung begins to notice disturbing noises coming from the walls of his apartment. At first, the sounds seem minor—barely perceptible hums and creaks. But they soon grow into persistent disturbances that rob him of sleep and peace of mind. As the days pass, the source of the noise becomes increasingly hard to ignore. What’s more unnerving is the response from his neighbors. Instead of empathizing, they accuse him of being the culprit, claiming that the noise originates from his unit. This not only escalates the tension in the building but isolates Woo Sung further, compounding his growing paranoia.
Faced with both supernatural uncertainty and social alienation, Woo Sung begins to question his own reality. Desperate for clarity, he takes matters into his own hands, determined to find out what’s hiding behind the walls of his seemingly perfect new home. As his investigation deepens, so does the sense of dread, unraveling secrets that perhaps were never meant to be uncovered.
Joining Kang Ha Neul in this tense narrative are Seo Hyeon Woo, who plays Yeong Jin Ho, a neighbor who becomes an unexpected ally to Woo Sung. As the noise intensifies and suspicion falls on both of them, they form a fragile partnership to trace the source of the disruption. Yeom Hye Ran portrays Jeon Eun Hwa, the head of the apartment residents’ council, tasked with maintaining peace but increasingly entangled in the building’s strange occurrences. Jeon Jin Oh takes on the role of Jeon Gwang Cheol, another resident whose involvement helps drive the plot into darker, more complex territory.
Directed by Kim Tae Joon, best known for the 2023 crime thriller Unlocked, Wall to Wall marks his return to the thriller genre with a more psychological and claustrophobic focus. The film is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on July 18, 2025, with a runtime of 1 hour and 58 minutes. It promises to blend suspense, paranoia, and the horrors of urban solitude into a gripping cinematic experience that challenges perceptions of what it means to feel safe in one’s own home.
