BTS’ Jungkook has once again proven his global impact, even while on military duty. His hit single “Seven” (feat. Latto) has officially become the fastest song by an Asian act to surpass 2.4 billion streams on Spotify, as of July 8. This achievement places him in a league of his own, cementing his place as the only Asian soloist to reach that level of success on the platform.
Despite being enlisted in the military since December 2023, Jungkook’s music continues to dominate. “Seven,” released in July 2023 as part of his debut solo album Golden, is nearing its two-year anniversary and still pulls in about 1.8 million streams per day—a rare feat for any artist, let alone one with only one full solo album.
The track now ranks as the 80th most-streamed song of all time on Spotify, making it the highest-ranking song by any Asian artist, solo or group, in the platform’s history. BTS fans worldwide flooded social media with praise and celebration once the milestone was announced on July 9.
Adding to his list of records, “Seven” has also become the longest-charting song by a K-pop soloist on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. US charts. It has held spots for 102 weeks and 103 weeks respectively—another unprecedented accomplishment for an Asian solo act.
Jungkook’s continued dominance on global charts, even during his military hiatus, highlights the staying power of his music and the loyalty of his fanbase. With his discharge from service in June 2025, fans are already looking forward to what he’ll bring next.
