Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series created by Gege Akutami. The story started in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018 and ran until September 2024. It follows a high school student named Yuji Itadori. He joins a secret group of Jujutsu Sorcerers. Their mission is to fight and defeat a powerful villain called Ryomen Sukuna. The manga was first available to stream on September 19, 2020.

MAPPA hasn’t officially said how many episodes Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen will have. But industry sources expect it to run for two cours, which means around 24 to 26 episodes. The first arc will follow Itadori’s Extermination and Perfect Preparation. This will set up the bigger Culling Game story. The season is also called Part 1, which confirms it will be split into multiple parts.

Reports suggest the season will have two blocks of 13 episodes each. The first five episodes will focus on Itadori’s Extermination and Perfect Preparation arcs. Episode 6 will then kick off the Game of Death, moving the story into its next stage.

 

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 release schedule

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will start streaming online on January 8, 2026. Part 1 will finish in late March 2026. On the premiere day, Episodes 1 and 2 will air together as a special double premiere. Episode 3 will come out on January 15, 2026. After that, new episodes will release every Thursday, leading up to the mid-season finale on March 26, 2026.
