BLACKPINK’s Jisoo was briefly in a relationship with Ahn Bo Hyun from August to October 2023. Their dating news was welcomed by fans, but their busy schedules contributed to the split. Recently, Jisoo shared her thoughts on love and how she balances it with caring for herself.
In an interview with Elle Korea, she said that most human emotions are tied to love. She explained that there is no “perfect love.” Instead, she described the ideal as two people living together while trying to understand each other as much as possible and getting as close to perfection as they can. Her words reflect her own experiences and also resonate with the themes of romance in her music.
Much of Jisoo’s music revolves around love, including her solo album AMORTAGE and her recent collaboration with Zayn Malik, EYES CLOSED.
She also emphasized the importance of self-love. She said she has always made sure to love and care for herself, especially during tough times. “When times get tough, I always have myself, so I hope I can overcome them without wavering even at the slightest gust of wind,” she shared.
At 30 years old, Jisoo is currently touring the world with BLACKPINK on the DEADLINE World Tour, which will run through the end of January 2026. The tour is expected to continue further alongside the release of the group’s new album.
