Park Jinyoung of GOT7 recently shared a surprising and humorous coincidence involving his sister and co-star Park Bo Young from the drama Our Unwritten Seoul. During a wrap-up interview on July 1 at BH Entertainment, the actor and singer revealed that his real-life sister shares the exact same name as his on-screen partner, Park Bo Young.

Jinyoung explained that his sister reminded him a lot of the character Future Mi Rae, played by Park Bo Young’s twin character Yoo Mi Rae in the series. “She’s warm and kind, similar to the character ‘Future [Mi Rae]’ in the drama,” he said, adding that while she doesn’t express much outwardly, her subtle gestures of support mean a lot. According to him, she simply commented that the drama was fun, and though it was brief, it meant more coming from someone who doesn’t usually say much.

Interestingly, when asked about her reaction to the romantic scenes—especially the kiss scenes with her namesake, Jinyoung said she didn’t really mention them. Her silence may have spoken volumes, but he didn’t press for details.

On the other hand, his GOT7 bandmates had no such filters. Jinyoung revealed that his fellow members were much more animated and playful about his acting performances in Our Unwritten Seoul and his film Hi.5. “They sent me a lot of messages saying it was fun,” he said. But when it came to the romantic or emotional scenes, they didn’t hold back their teasing.

“Whenever there were soft or romantic scenes, they’d joke around saying things like, ‘Nice business performance,’” he said, highlighting the group’s signature bond and lighthearted chemistry.

The contrast between his sister’s quiet support and his bandmates’ playful teasing shows the unique ways the people closest to him express their pride and affection.
