BTS member Jimin has officially completed his mandatory military service, returning to civilian life alongside Jungkook on June 11. Just in time for BTS’ 12th debut anniversary, Jimin made a powerful statement by sharing a FESTA 2025 photobooth snapshot and, more notably, a photo showcasing the accolades he earned during his service. The moment gave fans deeper insight into Jungkook’s earlier remark calling Jimin “the ace.”
On June 12, Jimin posted several images to his Instagram account. Among them was a proud display of his military achievements — certificates and badges that honor soldiers who performed exceptionally during their training. Each award reflected his adaptability, resilience, and commitment to excellence in an unfamiliar and physically demanding environment. This revelation also ties back to Jungkook’s June 11 broadcast, where he couldn’t stop praising Jimin’s performance in the military.
Jimin was awarded honors such as the Best in CBRN-E (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives), commendation for contribution during cold weather training, Top Trainee recognition, and the Brave Army Award — which is given to soldiers who serve their country with unwavering dedication. These accolades serve as solid proof that Jimin didn’t just fulfill his duty — he excelled at it.
Jungkook affectionately said, “He (Jimin) was the ace. There was nothing he couldn’t do.” Jimin, in his typical humble yet witty style, replied by saying he was so deeply immersed in his role as a trainee that he almost forgot he was a K-pop idol — only to be reminded now and then by fellow soldiers.
Fans across social media celebrated Jimin’s achievements with heartfelt pride. Many expressed how emotional it was to see the hardships he likely endured and overcame. They found his dedication both moving and inspiring, especially considering how easily he could’ve laid low during his enlistment. Instead, Jimin poured himself into the experience, proving yet again his tendency to give his all in everything he does.
As ARMY put it — if they had even half as many accomplishments as Jimin, they’d never stop talking about it.
