There has been ongoing speculation about whether BTS member Jimin and South Korean actress Song Da-Eun are dating. On August 31, 2025, BigHit Music finally addressed the rumors. For years, fans had been gossiping about a possible relationship between the two, and a TikTok video posted by Song Da-Eun on August 27, 2025, added fuel to the fire. In the clip, she was seen waiting outside an elevator in what appeared to be an apartment building before Jimin emerged. Many fans were convinced they were dating, prompting the agency to release an official statement.

BigHit Music explained that they had refrained from commenting earlier to respect Jimin’s private life and the individual involved. However, due to persistent rumors, they decided to clarify the situation. They noted that as far back as 2022, fans had noticed overlaps between Da-Eun’s social media activity and Jimin’s private life, including his appearance in one of her TikTok videos.

The agency confirmed that Jimin and Song Da-Eun are not in a relationship now. In their statement, they clarified that the two were once acquainted and shared mutual affection several years ago, but they are not together at present. The agency emphasized that ongoing speculation was damaging the artists’ reputations and urged fans to refrain from spreading misinformation.

The rumors originally started when Jimin’s elevator door opened at his residence in Nine One Hannam, and he was surprised to see Song Da-Eun there. According to the agency, Song had deliberately not informed him she was coming, which led to the brief, awkward encounter captured in her TikTok clip. Fans interpreted the clip as evidence of a romantic connection, but BigHit Music stressed that most of the photos and videos Song had uploaded were from past moments.
