BTS members Jimin and Jungkook marked a significant milestone on June 11 as they completed their 18-month mandatory military service. Their return to civilian life was met with immense love and support from fans and fellow artists, including their juniors from the same label, TXT. During a recent Weverse live, the duo shared a heartwarming moment with ARMYs by showing the welcome-back letters and gifts they received from the TXT members, offering a peek into the sweet bond between the two groups.
TXT, known for their respectful and affectionate relationship with their BTS seniors, went all out to celebrate Jimin and Jungkook’s discharge. They gifted them bouquets and handwritten letters, a gesture that mirrored the warm reception RM and V received just a day earlier. Jimin and Jungkook read the notes aloud, visibly touched by the thoughtfulness, referring to TXT as “our friends.” However, what began as a moment of appreciation soon turned into a hilarious roast session—specifically aimed at Yeonjun’s handwriting.
With a grin, Jimin jokingly remarked, “Yeonjun’s handwriting is kinda bad,” which made Jungkook burst into laughter. Upon examining his own letter, Jungkook sarcastically added, “Yeonjun’s handwriting is kinda similar to mine. Is it not?” Jimin laughed and affectionately responded, “Ah, so cute.” Their playful banter highlighted the comfortable and fun dynamic between the two groups.
While Yeonjun’s penmanship became a topic of comedic critique, Jungkook did give praise where it was due, declaring, “Beomgyu has the best handwriting.” Jimin, however, remained amused by Yeonjun’s letter, saying his writing “keeps catching my eye.” The lighthearted exchange emphasized not just their camaraderie with TXT, but also the warmth and familiarity that exists between BIGHIT labelmates.
Jimin also shared that the TXT members had expressed a desire to have a meal with them, and Yeonjun had jokingly requested Jungkook to treat him to a drink. Jimin playfully insisted Jungkook fulfill the request, to which he readily agreed. The live ended on a sweet note, with Jimin individually thanking each TXT member—Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai—for their heartfelt gestures and kind words. One member even complimented Jimin, writing that he “got cooler after going to the military.”
The interaction between BTS and TXT delighted fans, reaffirming the strong bond between the two generations of idols and further proving that despite time and distance, their friendship remains as strong and genuine as ever.
