Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal dispute has been making headlines ever since Lively filed a lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star in December. As the case unfolds, many celebrities have taken sides, with some publicly supporting Lively and others standing by Baldoni. One such person was comedian and actress Jenny Slate, who initially backed Lively but has since remained silent on the matter.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Slate made it clear that she had no interest in discussing the controversy. When asked about her experience working on It Ends With Us compared to her upcoming FX series Dying for Sex, she simply responded, “I don’t have anything to say about that.”
Instead, Slate emphasized that her focus is entirely on her new project. “Everything is its own thing. I poured my heart into this work,” she said, adding that Dying for Sex is her priority and the only topic she’s willing to discuss.
The Gifted star further explained her stance, saying, “Anyone can ask anything, but my only responsibility is to speak about the work I’m there to promote.” This statement highlights her decision to steer clear of the heated legal battle between her former co-stars.
Meanwhile, the feud between Lively and Baldoni has continued to intensify. Hollywood agent Ari Emanuel recently voiced his support for Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, while criticizing Baldoni’s actions. “It is a messed-up, bad situation with what Baldoni is doing,” he stated.
On the other hand, Baldoni’s father appeared to take a subtle jab at Lively and Reynolds by sharing a video of a bulletin board that read, “In a world full of Blakes and Ryans, be a Justin.”
While some industry figures have chosen to stay out of the public discourse, others have firmly taken sides, fueling the ongoing drama.
