But it wasn’t just the sexy confessions that got people talking. Lopez also performed her new song “Up All Night,” which many believe is aimed directly at Ben Affleck. The lyrics reportedly describe an ex who keeps trying to win her back, even though he’s the same person who wore her down emotionally. According to Page Six, Lopez has recorded enough songs for a new album, and several of them are rumoured to be inspired by Affleck. This creative comeback comes as Affleck continues to guard his private life. In a past interview, he hinted at the challenges of dating Lopez again, saying, “You don’t marry a ship captain and then say, ‘Well, I don’t like going out in the water.’” It was a rare admission from the usually reserved actor, and it showed just how much their public relationship tested him.
The two still share a mansion that hasn’t been sold yet, which means they may still have reasons to stay in contact. But publicly, JLo seems to be closing a chapter, not with silence, but with songs and bold onstage moments.
