Jennifer Lopez got hurt while rehearsing for her performance at the upcoming American Music Awards. She shared pictures on her Instagram story showing a bruised face and an icepack over her right eye.
She wrote, “So this happened…” and posted another photo showing her swollen nose and a cut on her face, saying it happened during the AMAs rehearsals.
In the last photo, she hid the bruises, showing she’s moving past the injury and focusing on her role as the event’s host.
This isn’t the first time JLo got hurt at the AMAs. Back in 2009, she fell during her performance and later said on The Ellen Show that she had a bruised bone. She explained the fall happened because a dancer’s back was sweaty and slippery, which caused her to slip when she stepped on it.
According to Billboard, Jennifer Lopez is only the fourth artist to host the AMAs twice. She is set to perform at the event on May 26.
