Robert Pattinson and Jennifer Lawrence star in the new psychological drama Die, My Love, which has been making big waves since its debut at the Cannes Film Festival. The film, directed by the very talented Lynne Ramsay, has caught everyone’s attention — not just for its gripping story but also because critics are loving it.

After its premiere on May 17 at Cannes, the movie got some impressive reviews. Rotten Tomatoes, a popular review aggregator, gave it a high Tomatometer score of 92% based on 13 critics’ opinions. That means almost all reviewers thought the film was excellent, with only one out of those 13 critics giving a less favorable review. Most gave it a rating of 7 out of 10 or better, showing how well it’s been received.

Die, My Love is actually outperforming some other big films at this year’s Cannes festival. For example, it’s doing better than Eddington, a horror-Western directed by Ari Aster featuring a star-studded cast including Pedro Pascal, Austin Butler, and Emma Stone. That film, which reunites Aster with actor Joaquin Phoenix after their previous work Beau Is Afraid, currently has a 67% score.

It’s also scoring higher than Leave One Day, a dramedy by Amélie Bonnin that sits at 58%, and even topping Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning starring Tom Cruise, which has an 80% score.

The story of Die, My Love focuses on Grace, played by Jennifer Lawrence, a mother living in a remote, forgotten rural area. The film dives deep into her emotional and mental struggles as she battles psychosis after pregnancy, fighting hard to keep her grip on reality.

The script was co-written by Araina Harwicz, Lynne Ramsay, and Enda Walsh, and the movie also features great performances from Nick Nolte, Sissy Spacek, LaKeith Stanfield, and more.

All in all, Die, My Love is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about and praised films at Cannes this year, showing that Robert Pattinson and Jennifer Lawrence continue to pick powerful and thought-provoking projects.
