She revealed that she often gossiped about Pitt with Gwyneth Paltrow, who had briefly dated and been engaged to him before Aniston. Aniston admitted, “Ironically, I went to her and Brad’s engagement party. Oh, of course [talk about Brad]. How can we not? We’re girls. We’re always swapping advice—‘What are you doing for this? What are you doing for that? Do you have a new doctor for that?’”
The actress also discussed the intense media scrutiny surrounding their split, noting how tabloids built them up and then tore them down, which she took personally at the time. Aniston described the coverage as “juicy reading for people” and acknowledged that it was difficult, though unavoidable.
In contrast, Gwyneth Paltrow had reportedly taken a subtle dig at Aniston in her biography, suggesting Pitt “has terrible taste in women” after marrying Aniston. The biography also highlighted differences in upbringing between Pitt and Paltrow, implying that Paltrow felt he wasn’t sophisticated enough for her.
